Lydia's parents, Daniel and Harmony, married early in their relationship and lived in a back-to-nature hippie commune in New Orleans, Louisiana. Daniel murdered Harmony, due to stress and anger issues. Melody took over Lydia's care and, in her grief at the loss of her sister, was a strict and authoritarian guardian. This prompted Lydia to grow up to be a rebellious child.
At some point, Lydia grew close to a boy named Mark Ramirez. During their flirtation, her powers emerged prompting him to use her to break into banks. In a love trance, Lydia did what Mark asked. He used her to knock out the bank manager, getting the code to break into the vault. While driving by the bank one afternoon, Melody saw Lydia and Mark at the bank and caught them, and she tried to take away Lydia away from Mark, but Mark had a different idea in mind, and thus Lydia learned Mark was a meta-human as well, as he he told Melody to beat herself unconscious. Mark turned to Lydia, and before he could say anything, Lydia tackled Mark and she wrapped her hands around his arm, causing him The security alarms were ringing, the police showed up and saw the scene. Lydia explained to the police everything, so they called JLA, due to it being a "superpowered problem". The Justice League showed up, and interogated Lydia, and saw that it was completely her fault, and wanted to help her hone her abilities. They asked Melody for permission, to which she agreed, and Lydia then joined the Team.
Lydia is a outspoken, charismatic, rebellious, light-hearted young woman. Though at first she was uncomfortable with her abilities, Lydia has grown to accept them. She continues, everyday, to meditate, and practicing her abilities.
Powers and AbilitiesEdit
Life-Force Absorption: Succubus has the ability to absorb a persons, plants, animals, etc. life force through direct skin contact, acquiring the individual's memories, skills, powers, and a fraction of the individual's personality for a limited time. The longer she stays in contact with them the longer she retains the skills and abilities she absorbs. If she maintains contact for too long, she may put the other person in a coma or even kill them. However, Sucubbus retains memories for a much longer period. Even though the powers and skills she absorbs fade away, when Succubus touches, her mind retains a psionic imprint of every individual she has ever used her powers on. Ultimately, she is able to use all the abilities she has ever absorbed for a brief period. She is able to access past abilities and skills she has absorbed. When Lydia absorbs a life, her life-force enhances, granting her a longer lifespan, while healing her in the process.
